Garage Floor Coatings by Blackline Coatings in Chicago and the western suburbs of Illinois. Garage floor coating systems that handle hot tyres, road salt and real use.
Most of what we do is garages, and most of those are garages somebody actually cares about. Hot tyres, road salt, dropped tools and jack stands are all handled by the system, not by hoping. We cove the base so there is no dirt line where the floor meets the wall, and we cut a clean edge at the door.
- Hot tyre pickup is not a risk with polyaspartic topcoats
- Holds up to road salt, brake fluid and winter slush
- Coved base and a clean cut line at the garage door
- Most single or double garages are back in use the next day
Whatever goes on top, the slab underneath gets the same treatment first. It is ground back mechanically, the cracks and joints are repaired, and the surface is made flat and open enough for the resin to key into. That is the part of the job that decides whether the floor lasts, and it is the part nobody photographs.
How much does garage floor coatings cost?
It depends on the square footage and on what the slab needs before the coating goes down, which is why we quote in person. A floor that only needs a grind and a floor that needs crack repair and a rebuild are different jobs.
How long before I can use the floor?
Most installs are walk on the same evening and back in full use the next day. Polyaspartic cures fast, which is the main reason we build with it.
Do you work outside Chicago itself?
Yes. We are based in Elburn and we work across Chicago and the western suburbs, including Naperville, Hinsdale, Oak Brook, Wheaton, Geneva, St. Charles, Batavia and Aurora.
Thinking about garage floor coatings?
Send the address of the space and we will come out and look at the concrete. The quote comes after that, not before.
