Blackline Coatings is a luxury concrete coatings company working out of Elburn, and Aurora is regular ground for us. We install decorative coating systems on garage, basement, showroom and commercial floors, and we restore concrete that has been left too long to coat as it stands.

Every floor starts the same way regardless of the finish going on it. The slab is ground back mechanically rather than acid etched, cracks and control joints are chased out and filled, and any spalled surface is rebuilt before a drop of resin is mixed. That is slower and it costs more, and it is the reason the floors we put in are still perfect years later.

• Flake Systems. A full broadcast of vinyl flake locked under clear polyaspartic. The finish everybody knows, built the way it should be.
• Marble Metallic. Metallic pigment moved by hand while it cures, so the floor comes out with depth and movement like stone.
• Quartz Systems. Coloured quartz aggregate broadcast into resin. The hardest wearing finish we install, and the one with grip.
• Concrete Restoration. Cracked, pitted, spalled or patched over. We take the slab back to something worth finishing.
